"This centrally located cafe has lots of seats (inside and outside), making it great for meeting up with friends or for doing some work. Their drinks are good: I tried the salted caramel latte and one of their loose-leaf teas. Friendly baristas and a calm atmosphere."

"Tellement une belle boucherie, tout est bon... On rentre avec l'idée d'acheter un steak et on repart avec du stock pour une semaine ! J'adore le tartare de boeuf.. non seulement ils peuvent nous le couper, mais ils ont maintenant l'assaisonnement maison déjà tout préparé avec la mayo et oignon. Mes must : Ailes de poulet épicées, salade de céleri-rave, gratin dauphinois, tartare, mousse de crevette et j'en passe!!!"

"The Casse-croute is normally a small stand or a small restaurant where you can eat fast food in Québec. This Restaurant Boreal is a small restaurant where the quality of the food, the quantity as well as the prices matches perfectly. They have a kind...of Haute cuisine in a small traditional restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic: only people from Québec are there, no tourists. Probably also because Grand-Mère is not so touristical and the restaurant is not in the city-cetntre. Anyway it was really full of people. Everybody wanted to have contact with us there: they found us interesting because it's a hidden gem where tourists never arrive. With spoke with half of the people having dinner there, we took pictures, ect. We had a real nice time. About the food: as I wrote it's a kind of high cuisine with a lot of immagination. For example I had as a starter a crème-brulée made with blue cheese. A new taste for me! The meat was also very nice.. and the desserts are so nice! Don't miss la tarte à sucre typical from québec. The service is made by a lady wich is very shy but keep on smiling all the time: so spontaneous and a sincere smile! She probably found us interestîng and funny too! I really like spontaneous people and not the typical service where they smile at you just for the tip at the end! The prices: such a cheap dinner for such a good quality.. it's impossible to find anywhere else! Location: when you leave the motorway in Grand-Mère, instead of going direction city-centre, go direction Parc de la Mauricie for about It's on the left side. Parking: just in front of the restaurant. If you are visiting the National park de la Mauricie.... DON'T MISS IT!!!"
