"On holiday in sisteron we searched a restaurant on tripadvisor and looked at the comments. We were not disappointed, very friendly staff, very affordable menu, we chose the foie gras card very well served for me, tomato gaspacho excellent for my husband. Then as we were at sisteron we chose the excellent lamb square too we ended it with the fingers! Sablé dessert with red fruit for my husband, me fruit sorbets made home grapefruit, lavender, lemon, cucumber/roquette... to fall! It's not difficult we enjoyed it all!"

"Nice view, excellent food. The specialties all look good. Portions are plenty. The waitresses are very friendly, are always there when you need them, with a special eye for children. Restaurant is a bit out of sight, but definitely worth the (small) detour."

"In July 2018 we had the plat du jour, consisting of a steak with more fat than meat and mashed potatoes. Totally unattractive serving of the dish, just the 'meat ', mashed potatoes and gravy. The meat was hardly cuttable, nor eatable. The desert was ok,...two scoups of ice. This costed 15 euro per plate. Value estimated at 2 euro 's. I read 'tourist trap ' in another review which I totally can confirm. And because my french is not that fluent, I can 't really start an argument. When paying the bill, the lady even asked if I wanted to include a tip. Please guess my response. The serving staff was friendly. No complaints there."

"My wife and I drove about 50 miles to sisteron to experience a delicious dinner of lamb. (we had visited sisteron about 10 years ago) we chose the brasserie le salon. the lamb (gigot) we were served for lunch was the most delicious. that we had ever tasted in France and we have this dish in many restaurants in the course of the years. the service was excellent at our exterior table with the excellent view. the price was also very reasonable at only euro 9.60 per gigot. highly recommended for those who enjoy lamb!"
