"We've been visiting Borges for over 20 years for meals out with the family, but haven't visited in a couple of years since before covid. The restaurant looks exactly the same! and the menu still contained old favourites the meat kebabs which are served with a sparkler. The menu is huge with LOTS of choice. There is a very small cocktail menu, which could be improved upon. A meal for 9 adults came to nearly £300! I think we ordered 5 starters to share and 5 desserts to share, plus maybe 7 8 alcoholic drinks plus a couple of soft drinks and a couple of coffees, so not bad value. Main meals were all around £15 each I think. For spending so much money, and possibly because we never eat out anymore, I expected something more somehow. The restaurant is very small so you always feel a bit squashed in as it is always busy, luckily this time we were up against the wall in the corner so had space to move around the high chair and for our big baby bag etc. Unfortunately the changing facilities aren't great, standard in that it's basically just the bare minimum of a changing table attached to the wall. But poor in that the changing table is in the women's toilets so not sure how single dad would make this work? Plus you're hemmed in by the large sink on one side and then a loud hand dryer at the foot of the table so every time you move you set off the loud dryer which upsets the baby even more! There's nowhere to put your bag while you're changing baby so you can grab clean clothes, more wipes etc, so I put my bag in the sink big mistake! as did not realise tap is automatic so basically my bag was soaked through my the time I realised, so much for clean clothes to change baby into!! this is our first kid and this isn't something I would ever have given a second's thought to before, but Borge could and should really do better here. We all enjoyed our meals and our drinks, service was friendly and fast, offering more drinks but not being intrusive. For me, because of the poor changing room facilities (and an upset baby with an upset belly) this put a dampener on our evening and spoilt the whole experience for my husband and I, who were stressed by the upset baby. We had to leave early so we could change the baby properly and left the rest of the family to enjoy leisurely coffees and desserts."

"Very disappointed with the customer service I have received from trying to order a cheesecake. I contacted The Stables via their Instagram page where they are daily promoting their cheesecakes, from here I kindly asked for some information on collection, price and design of cheesecakes....I was told they would get back to me, of which they never did. I then messaged again expressing I was still interested in ordering a cheesecake from them for a birthday, from here we agreed on a style and price. When i confirmed and asked when I would be able to collect the cheesecake I was again ignored. From here I then messaged a third time, asking if they were able to confirm if this service is something they were able to offer and if not please could they simply let me know so I could make other arrangements, this message was yet again ignored and I have had no response. I will certainly not be recommending this service as I believe simply ignoring customers is very rude and unprofessional."

"We visited over the easter break for afternoon tea. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were comfortably seated in the lounge and the multi course service promptly arrived. This comprised finger sandwiches, cakes, scones and an Easter treat of a Simple cake....All with lashing of endless tea and coffe. The food and service were excellent and substantial, we were so full we took the Simnel cake away in a doggy box, neatly presented by the staff. The food and service are only half the story as you really pay for the beautiful opulent, stately surroundings and the wonderful garden walk. The walk just capped off an excellent experience. We will be going back."

"Just had another amazing evening at Carajillo’s! Loved trying more traditional Spanish dishes, all of which were perfect. Service was wonderful again, we were made to feel so welcome. Definitely recommend if you haven’t already been!"

"The Talpore offers a continental as well as a standard breakfast offer where you can select from a massive range of options. There was suitable social distancing and helpful service. You are not rushed from your seats which is a nice change in the current situation."

"Came here last night before going to the globe,we had booked our table but arrived early not a problem shown to our table and our drinks order taking swiftly,let us sit with our drinks before we needed to order,once ordered our food arrived quickly everything was delicious.All staff were very attentive and good at what they do,I can honestly say we will be back very soon .Thank you everyone for a lovely time."
