"Last week we had to do a fairly long detour to get back onto the A458 near Much Wenlock and going along the country road we saw a pub The Mill at Leighton. We decided to come back a few days later and it was so worth it. My husband had whitebait, roast beef and ice cream and I had a veggie pie with an Eton Mess. Delicious food, comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. Certainly somewhere to return to with family and friends. Thank you."

"Top marks, great food and service. Had the charcuterie board and bread to start followed by Gorgonzola chicken and Diablo pasta dish. Complimentary olives to start was a nice touch. The food was delicious, the chicken was so tasty. The side salad served with the mains really impressed us, nice mix of salad and tasty dressing. Service was great, very attentive but not too much so, just the right level. We have meant to visit this restaurant for a long time and now we have will certainly be back sooner rather than later. 10/10 recommend to all."

"I am writing this direct from the Flower pot cafe.. I don’t want to write this review but after 6 interventions trying to get 2 pots of tea, a tea cake and a scone correct I lost my appetite and patience. Here the list of issues 1. Having ordered our choices as above other clients were served before us after being seated after us. 2. I went to the desk and could see my tea cake sitting on the tray on serving it was cold and the button was rock hard so could spread it and ripped the bread apart 3. It was a large tea cake but second visit for an additional butter. 4. My wife knifes for her scone was dirty from the tip to the top of the handle. 5. Having now rescued a new knife there was no sugars or sweetener provided up again ! 6. All must be ok now ? no there were no tea spoons provided Seriously this is extremely poor service and at £2 a pot and a bill for £9.90 I think it deserves a mention and I would like to see an acknowledgement from the owner. "Had such an enjoyable meal evening here. We came on Good Friday and figured going into Ironbridge would be a good idea in case lots of people were out, as there’s a few restaurants to choose from. Popped into The Tontine around 6:30pm, it’s in a great spot just across from the famous bridge. We couldn’t have been made more welcome firstly by the barman, who grabbed us a menu for the restaurant, then got us some drinks and let the waitress know we wanted to eat. Than the waitress herself who was very pleasant, warm funny. We waited around 15 mins for them to open the restaurant properly and then were showed in to choose our table. The menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food, we plumped for the full three courses as the starters looked great. In addition to the three courses we were also given olives bread for the table, and an amuse bouche of roasted tomato soup which was really nice. It was really hard to choose mains as the options were all excellent. Loved sitting by the window and people watching, plus being able to see the bridge was great. The staff were excellent, the owner popped over to check everything was okay as well. Couldn’t have had a nicer time, and would definitely go back if we were in the area."

"Absolutely great restaurant and bar, out in a beautiful setting The staff are helpful,thoughtful, and well dressed. The menu has great options for all tastes with varied special dishes.The venue is well decorated and spacious and has a new conservatory that is absolutely stunning and I would personally recommend it for events as I got engaged there They set the standard for what a British restaurant should be"
