"Hawaii farewell best. Place was clean, staff was friendly, and food was excellent. we went to lunch on Friday and it was pleasantly busy. Portion sizes for lunch plates were huge, we would have liked to pay half the price for half the food! Only on the bottom was the strong use of silo foam and plastic containers, also for diving customers. Would be a 5-star if they could supply paper or reusable plates to avoid so much waste production."

"Had lunch with a client here today. Seems like a place for a lot of business lunches. Given that there aren’t a lot of great options in Torrance, I can see the draw. So we all enjoyed the food. The shrimp sausage appetizer was a creative and tasty start. My colleague really enjoyed his curry dish, which came with shrimp, chicken, veggies and rice, so much so that he was raving about it hours later. The client had the mac and cheese and really liked that as well. Got out of there with a decent priced bill and happy tummies. HOWEVER…it was so unbelievably hot in there! We were all sweating and somewhat uncomfortable. Considering the amount of suits in there, I am sure we weren’t the only ones. I really hope that the AC was broken or something, because if it’s like that in there every day, it is just unbearable and a good enough reason not to return. To increase the temperature, they cram a lot of tables and a lot of bodies into the space they have. Which reminded me of new york…but not in a good way. Finally, the decor could use an update…the style is kind of victorian, but all the furnishings just look kind of run down and old. That’s all. I recommend for business lunches or dinners. The food was tasty and the menu was creative with a lot of options for different palates. Not mind blowing at all, but serves it’s purpose fairly and reliably. PS – great wine and beer menu!"

"We went for lunch. I ordered Margherita pizza and my husband had penne. When my pizza came out it smelled like memories from childhood (and not good ones).... Chef Boyardee. My husband's penne was just ok. The service was fine. Not going back."
