"Show as a fine eating and had a reasonable choice on the menu. but when we turned up we were not too hopeful after we had told ourselves that we had to book, but were one of the tables in the restaurant! the appetizers were beautiful and raised our expectations for. the rest of the meal. the majority of the main courses was ok, but did not eat fine (not in consideration of the haare found in a meal and hot salad on another). the cheese pizza, which was advertised as mouthwater for the cheese lover, was in fact a frozen chicago town pizza. and that was because we asked! in the question, the chef had left (we can only assume embarrassment) and the acting deputy manager was simply rude. obviously he didn't have the power to pay us just a generous offer for the pizza in tesco! so he said in his continuing rude way, he would pay it out of his own pocket. a very strange answer when you challenge how they could charge for a pizza. apparently this was for the cost of the many! we will not be back!"

"We chose this restaurant because it was advertised as Fine Dining with an A La Carte menu. In reality it was Pub Fayre at best and disappointing. The menu had dishes such as burgers,scampi and chips and so on. The only sauces you were going...to get was the ketchup kind. It was fine if you like pub food in a decent setting, but it certainly was not Fine Dining. We had dressed up for the occasion but found ourselves surrounded by other customers wearing shorts, t-shirts, jeans and trainers which is not the etiquette you would expect in a Fine Dining restaurant. We mentioned politely to the Manager that the experience was not Fine Dining and that we were disappointed but he seemed a bit in-different. Beware, the plastic laminated menus are being used and re-used contrary to precautions."
