"We ate with our kids (7,11). It was an impressive buffet for 17.5€ (half price until 10). A lot of choices with starters, main dishes and desserts. The quality was outstanding. Usually buffet tends to be of lower quality, but not this time. Was indeed impressive! Kids were so happy. The place is not too romantic though. Very clean, very new. Staff very efficient and nice. I clearly recommend the place after a swim at Tain l'Hermitage new pool!!!"

"We weren´t too sure about this restaurant at first,as there didn´t seem to be much movement but we were pleasantly surprised. We ate outside in the square which was very nice, and people started sitting down around us. The food was very good and plentiful. The waitress was very helpful and we had great fun trying out our French as she knew no English, or very little. The prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place."

"We had a good meal there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was a little warm, but there was a heat wave and many places we ate were warm. What only happened here, however, during our visit to France eating at over 30 restaurants, was that we were charged a fee to convert our bill from Euros to Dollars, without our asking for this to be done. We use a credit card without a foreign transaction fee, and pay in Euros the credit card company converts to USD at a reasonable rate. At Le Tournesol, we were charged a 3% fee to convert the Euros to Dollars, so instead of $1.17 per €, it was about $1.21. We protested to our credit card company that our intention was to pay in Euros, but Le Tournesol countered, and they had the goods on us. There, just below my signature, in small hazy print, was the verbiage that I agreed to pay extra. We did not ask for this “service” nor did Le Tournesol advise us they were doing this. This happened once on a previous trip to Ireland but the owners quickly fixed the issue when it was pointed out. Not Le Tournesol. They stuck by their guns and kept the service charge. So examine the bill carefully when it comes. Get them to bring a lamp so you can easily read the fine print and then carefully read everything on the bill and the credit card charge. Or eat somewhere else may be more relaxing."

"De passage dans le coin à une heure un peu tardive nous avons eu malgré tout un accueil chaleureux de la part du patron. La carte, il n'y en a pas, une ardoise accrochée au mur en fait office. Choix entre plusieurs formules. Les assiettes sont copieuses et goûteuses avec beaucoup de simplicité, réalisées sur place ça se voit et ça se sent ! Un plat et un dessert suffisent pour des bons mangeurs. Je ne regrette pas ma halte dans ce petit restaurant !"
