"Lovely place, lovely staff and great atmosphere. We had the beef cheek for starters, tagliolini allo scoglio for main, and tiramisu for dessert. The beef cheek was very tender, the seafood was very nicely cooked, the prawn had an amazing flavor, and the tiramisu was very creamy paired with a lovely cappuccino. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed every mouthful. Sardinian Ichnusa beer available. We'll be back soon!"

"Last autumn I passed by this restaurant and saw perfectly cooked massive chips delivered to an outdoor guest. They looked fantastic and added Cistín Eile to my list of places to dine. A couple days ago we finally stopped in for lunch. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table. The place is cozy and nicely decorated. The market fish was haddock. It was exceptionally prepared and presented with potatoes and mixed vegetables. There was a balance of all flavors and textures. The chips, arrived with skin on, salted and a nice sauce drizzled on them. They were delicious. Thanks for a remarkable experience. We look forward to returning!"

"On the outskirts of Killmuckridge village lies Sean Og’s in the Upton Court Hotel. We stopped there on a recent Sunday, were given a nice table in a corner. Our waitress immediately offered menus and took a drink order. We read the menu and could not believe what was on offer as the €20 menu. We selected a Bruchetta and a Prawn salad to start, followed by the pork and a sea trout. The starters were very large, had plenty of flavor, and the prawns (shrimps? were plentiful with a tasty cocktail sauce and Salad. The sea trout came a two nice pieces, served with salad and chips with a tasty dressing. The pork came as 3 slices of pork, served with some apple sauce, gravy and a selection of vegetable consisting of Carrot, turnip and broccoli, and potatoes. During the meal our waitress asked if we need anything more, had we enough of everything?. The answer was most definitely “no thank you” as the portions were more than adequate. Following a short break we had dessert of Sherry trifle, and apple crumble, followed by two coffees. Had we any complaints, well yes we did, The turnips were nearly raw, and the crumble needed more crumble topping, however these were minor as the overall meal was exceptional and with accompanying drinks our bill of €56.10 was most acceptable."
