"My husband and I tried Libby's Southern Comfort tonight for the first time, and it was amazing! The owner and staff are super friendly. They came around and we actually had full conversations about lots of topics. Something you don't get at chain restaurants. It was delightful! For our appetizers, we ordered the JuJu's deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes. The deviled eggs were creamy and delicious. They had crispy pieces of pork belly lardon and chives on top, served on a bed of field greens. The fried green tomatoes were coated with a light cornmeal breading but, nice and soft on the inside. They were topped with a unique mix of Libby's pimento cheese, bourbon onion jam, pork belly lardon, and an herb oil. It all worked so well together. They were fantastic. I ordered the pan roasted Arctic Char. It was flaky and moist, and sat atop toasted barley with baby arugula and country ham. It was all topped with green tomato relish and bourbon pomegranate reduction, which was rich and silky. I loved it. My husband ordered the pork chop, which was pan roasted, and lightly smoked. It was thick and juicy. It sat on a bed of brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, and sage sausage hash, with a rich, sweet apple cider gastrique. It was phenomenal. We brought home an order of the fried chicken and macaroni and cheese for our little girl. Best fried chicken! The breading was crispy and seasoned wonderfully. And, the meat was so moist and flavorful. The mac and cheese was creamy, with bread crumbs sprinkled throughout. She devoured it all! Overall, this is definitely a place to try!"
