"We visited the restaurant after a day trip through the Spessart national park and sat on the patio behind the main building. The restaurant has a traditional German menu with local specialties and regional food and a few general items like Schnitzel etc.. We had...the daily special the deer ragout with dumplings and cantharellus Pfifferling. The deer was tender and in a nice rich tasty, home made gravy. The potato dumplings were home made and absolutely delicious. The meal was accompanied by fresh Bavarian style dinner salad. All in all very good and a good price. The only reason why we wouldn't give it a star rating the kitchen help or was it the chef sat on the edge of the guestdining patio every minutes to smoke cigarettes. We could tell that that view bothered quite a few customers"
