"We have been eating here for several years , and had my aunties 90th here 18 months ago..... Very nice people , absolutely fantastic food... When you come , order the shieks open banquet...for $65 pp you get dips, breads , appetizer, entre, mains, salads and desserts with coffees and you can re order all the dishes you loved again !! My only issue (And it's a small one) is that some of the staff can go missing for a while, so if you need anything urgently it may take a few minutes to get their attention....other than that , great place , nice soft music, and the decor is so pleasant and ottoman in style you will love it....we do...."

"I started shopping at Monaco 's in 1990. I lived off Camberwell Road it was a quick, natural walk. Beautiful store full of old world grace and charm. From day one they made me feel like an old friend. Later I moved down the road to Ashburton, but returned especially for the 'God Sausages '.....I once said to Rob, 'So, there must be this pig, who 's raised by hand by two friends. They feed her the best, they scratch her back and fuss over her then one day....the axe falls. The two men cry and cry. Then they make the sausages. And every minute of care is apparent in the quality and taste. ' He said 'pretty much ' I used to roast mine. They would taste like a cross between roast pork and a little crackling. Beautiful quality meat. And all their other products were as carefully sourced I particularly loved the giant dried currants that tasted like solid vintage port. Anyway, it 's been a long time since I moved to Canada for love work almost 10 years. I miss Monaco 's greatly! Cheers Rob, Dom and everyone! Ciao from Davide! David A Williams"

"The weekday set menu is excellent value at $50 for 3 courses, including a glass of wine. Starting with a selection of mezes including bread, dips, olives, kingfish ceviche, air dried pork and cheese pies, this in itself was substantial enough for a meal! The highlight was the cheese pie! This was followed by a beautifully cooked shoulder of lamb, accompanied by chips and a salad. Excellent!"

"Have eaten here regularly over many years and the prompt service never changes, but neither has the menu over the many years. Fortunately the Vibrante salad never changes in quality either...plenty of seafood in a sweet chilli sauce. The daily specials are about 2 in number so perhaps could be added to, but overall the menu is ever reliable."
