"The menu was much smaller than expected. The cafeteria feel was cute, but I was hoping for things like tostadas and tamales.We got the taco bar and margarita pitcher, and it was deceptively presented. We overloaded the first tacos before we realized the bowls of meat were actually bowls of rice and beans with 2oz of meat on top. We also watched the bartender make the pitchers. 1/3 drink, 2/3 ice made it actually difficult to consume, the ice went everywhere (not to mention they sold us 3 margaritas for $35)Update: the second time we visited, the fire alarm went off multiple times. The staff seemed unbothered, and didn't offer anything to compensate for the blaring alarms and blinding lights. Definitely not worth another visit."

"Distrito was basically empty the day after Christmas, and I'm guessing it's because it was, after all, the day after Christmas. But I'm not sure. It could be the tiny portions. The decor is adorable, the food is good (we ordered guac to share, I got the fish tacos and the kids each got something but I can't recall), but the portions are really small, and so maybe that has something to do with it. The wait staff was exceptional. I'll give it that. On the other hand, we walked around the grounds and you can walk from the restaurant right out onto Scottsdale Civic Plaza mall, so it's a nice place to hang."
