"Wir waren am Sonntag in Gastein Ski fahren und besuchten die Weitmoser Schlossalm. Wir saßen an der Bar (dort wird direkt vor einem gegrillt - super) und wurden vom sehr aufmerksamen "Hans" bedient. Auch der quirlige Koch kümmerte sich um uns und erzählt was er uns alles zubereiten könnte. Er konnte überzeugen - wir entschieden uns für ein Steak vom Pinzgauer Rind (uns wurde gesagt aus eigener Zucht!!!!!) und für das Kotelett. Wurde direkt vor uns perfekt zubereitet - toll gegrillt - super Fleischqualität und die Beilagen konnte wir auch wie gewünscht ändern. Ein junger Herr fragte uns nach Wein und gab uns die Weinkarte. Die Auswahl hat mich wirklich überrascht und beeindruckt. Kompliment, erst recht für eine Skihütte!! Wir entschieden uns für die Empfehlung (meine Frau trinkt nur Weißwein) Ein kräftiger, im Holz gereifter chardonnay vom Weingut Malat. Toller Wein, super zum Essen!! Eigentlich waren wir satt - haben uns dann aber doch noch für die schwarzbeernocken entschieden - hat sich gelohnt. So wie der ganze Besuch - skifahren sind wir an dem Nachmittag nicht mehr gegangen - es war einfach zu gut und gemütlich! Aber wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!!"

"This looks like a lovely cafe - cool decor and very clean. However the waitress was quite unfriendly - not sure if that's because her English was limited but then we were in her country so why weren't we speaking German more?! Anyway - her manner was unfriendly and she didn't smile once. However the male (manager?) was lovely and courteous. The food was ok though our 2yr old son's 'children's' size penne pasta dish was huge and only 1 euro less than adult size so half of it was wasted as it was too much for him. It was also mostly pasta and very little bolognese sauce. My trout main was nice but very buttery."

"Nice italian food. However the place is really small and the kitchen is almost open it the restaurant resulting in a very smelly experience! We really enjoyed dinner (tried several pastas in our group). Also has nice wines. However we were unlucky and were seated near the kitchen. It took a week to loose the smell from our clothes!!!"
