"Had a friend’s birthday dinner here. Food was good. We had a $75/pp with 3 course dinner. All the dishes was pretty good. Overall enjoyed the night. The place is upstairs slightly hidden but surprisingly busy on Saturday night. Not sure it worth that much but the overall atmosphere was good."

"First night in Melbourne, fresh off the plane and desperate for something a little more substantial than the airplane lunch...we weren't disappointed. The food was fair, the portions substantial and the service good. Would I travel a great distance to pay another visit? Probably not."

"University Hill is a relatively new shopping and dining precinct in the outer north, directly opposite RMIT's Bundoora campus. It's not really the sort of place that you're going to make a special trip to, but it does a good job of providing services for the locals, including the large campus opposite.There are a number of places to eat at University Hill, and Ziffano's is definitely one of the better venues. I've eaten there twice, both times mid-week for dinner, and both times with a group of friends. The first time we went, the service wasn't great. We struck a waiter with "inattentive blindness"--when trying to get his attention, he seemed to look everywhere but at us, the paying customers. He seemed more interested in chatting with--I'm guessing--one of the owners.The second time, things turned around for the better. Our waiter was excellent and the service could not be faulted.I've had the risotto on both occasions that I've dined here and it's been excellent on both occasions. The seasoning is spot on, the ingredients are fresh and of high quality, and the dish has been at just the right consistency. Risotto is a dish that's easy to stuff up, but they do it just right here at Ziffano's.My friends are a range of dishes, and all were pleased with their choices. The room at Ziffano's is spacious, airy, light, and clean, and the prices are reasonable for food made with care and using good technique.If you find your way in the area, I can recommend Ziffano's for a good quality meal in nice surrounds. Hopefully you will get the waiter we had recently; he was a beauty."

"Our party of 7 had the Tuesday night Steak specials. The services was slow, when we questioned delay we were advised food is coming! When it arrived, the food was horrible, steaks overcooked, cold chips. We pointed out the steaks were overdone and the manager could not give a hoot. This was a very disappointing night out for our friend's birthday. We learned the lesson when you seen empty tables - never again, we are off to Coopers restaurant in future. Well done Bundoora Manager!"

"If you want some basic noodles that are fresh and simple then come here. It's not a fancy Chinatown kinda shop but they do make the food fresh in front of you. Lacks a little of the indepth taste that I've tried when overseas.The variety of food is good. Staff are nice.Wheelchair and kid friendly. Parking good."

"I recently placed a big order for samosas with this restaurant-70 samosas to be picked up at noon on Saturday. My fear was that the samosas may be made the night before and warmed up after I arrive to pick up the order. Oh boy was I wrong! I was nearly an hour late in coming to pick up the order and they rang me no less than 3 times within that hour (I missed the first 2 calls cause they were concerned that the samosas will cool down because of my delay and therefore won't taste as good! Well they still tasted fantastic and were a huge hit at the party. Big thumbs up for Flavours! Will definitely come back again! :"
