"The Utgard Bar seemed like the only place in Eckernförde where you can have a nice beer while you listen to good music. And at the beginning of the evening, when the place was empty, it was really nice. Cosy atmosphere, lively design, wooden tables, candles and a very limited drinking menu (only 4 types of pretty cheap whisky, no real cocktails, sad for a place called a bar. but it was cooled and calm, so we enjoyed each other. But when the place was filled, the beautiful atmosphere disappeared. The rock music turned into terrible 90's hit parade, the people who came into the bar were loud and poppy and with the hours it turned into a cheesy loud disco that had absolutely NOT to do with the concept of the bar. A shame for all Vikings out there. A shame. Could have been a real jewel."

"I was at Mangos and birthday parties, and have been back many times since. was there again last week.. a lot as changed and its now more up market, gone are the plastic palm trees and parrots, now its a much classier place,...The changes are for the better, service is always wonderful and friendly. Good English speaking staff, food second to none!! If your ever close by its worth a visit, Try the Duckstein beer. its very tasty and leaves less of a hang over lol"

"From the foundation stand in time, 70-80s ambience. I had no treasure either. The food is absolutely fine and the price-performance ratio is consistent. Drinks nice cool, eating hot and very good of the crowd. There are real squids and no cheap Calamaris rings. However, it could be pommes or a small bread as a supplement. The rice is a little hard. Staff clean, nice and friendly. We like to come back!"

"Heute war ich zum zweiten Mal hier zum Essen und kann dieses Restaurant empfehlen. Die Wirtsleute sind aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen hat mir jeweils sehr geschmeckt! Das Restaurant ist nicht sehr groß, aber die Atmosphäre ist angenehm. Dass es zudem noch ein leckeres Guinness vom Fass gab, war ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt. Danke sehr!"
