"We all had lunchtime value menu. Lovely slices of pitta bread. Chicken and lamb kebabs tasty good quality meat. Starters all OK. Also included a small piece of baklava and a Turkish tea. Excellent value at £9.80"

"Excellent date night experience all around! We arrived a touch past our reservation time, but the staff was gracious and seated us immediately. Very friendly, with the perfect level of attentiveness, not hovering (like is typical in the US, but not ignored either. For starters,we tried the Duck Parcel (AMAZING! and the Pigeon Breast (also Amazing! Then moved on to the Main Entrees. I had the Pork Belly, while my wife had the Sea Bass. DELICIOUS! We finished the meal off with a Bailey's Creme Brulee and a Roasted Vanilla Cheesecake. The Creme Brulee was my wife's first, and she loved it. The Cheesecake was excellent as well. All in all, a perfect evening, in a cozy, friendly atmosphere, with great service and food. Highly recommended, and can't wait to go back!"

"It was our first time at Johnson of Old Hurst. We met some family who recommended the farm for the kids. The farm is great for the kids and has a variety of animals including a bear, a wild cat and also a tropical enclosure....It also has play areas for the kids to enjoy. The thing which made me write this review was the Stake House! We didn’t plan on eating whilst visiting the farm, however the Stake House looked really nice so we decided to have a late lunch. First of all the standard of food was very high. I ordered the Tomahawk stake and I can honestly say it was the most tender and tastiest stake I have ever eaten. The side positions of chips, onion rings and veg were also very plentiful! The only thing that topped the Tomahawk stake was the host. I believe his name was Nicholas, a South African gentleman, but he was the most welcoming, friendly and funny host. He was incredibly interactive with the kids too. The day was such a great experience and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Although we live abit of a distance away, I will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a great day!! (The pictures don’t do the meal justice, also more chips etc were brought out after the photo was taken)."
