"We stopped here for a lunch en-route to the South. It was a lovely day so we ate on the outside covered terrace area which is very large and which was very full and buzzing. Its clearly popular with locals which is always a good sign. As we still had some distance to go to our final destination we were worried that service might be slow, but it was very quick, efficient and pleasant. There is a vast menu of delicious sounding food, and we plumped for Truffade. An enormous portion of meat, sautéed potato in melted cheese and salad materialised that was hot and very tasty. We washed this down with a pichet of very decent rose. Although the single dish options may seem slightly pricey, the price quality ratio is very good indeed and we didn’t need to eat anything else (and in fact delayed our evening meal as we were still feeling full! . This place would make a very good lunch stop or on a warm evening (particularly in a group one could imagine it making for a convivial and good value dinner."

"I feel my holiday has started when we get to The Globe for our first lunch. That means, we 're done with the long drive, queueing for ferries, and we 've opened up the house. We can start to relax. During our stay in the area we 'll probably eat at The Globe two or three times, and it 'll likely be our last meal too as we tend to depart the area in the early afternoon. Friendly and helpful staff even when rushed which they can be when it 's busy at lunchtime. Lots of room inside as well as the terrace. Extensive menu, from salads, omelettes, pasta, burgers, steaks, and a range of pizzas (the latter of course cooked in a log oven) and during the week a menu which is typically €10 12 and gives you a three course lunch, usually NOT something that 's on the main menu. We 've never had a bad meal. We did once have a very slow meal the heavens opened for a major thunderstorm on a day when lots of people were out for a stroll and they all hit the Globe at the same time! We shouldn 't have ordered pizza, the oven can only do two at a time... but the beers kept coming and it was as good a place as any to wait out the rain! The salads are huge. Even the ones which offer a large or small version, the small one is bigger than you would normally expect for a starter . IN fact in common with most french cafes, it seems they don 't really expect you to order starters (except for the menu of course). We share one! The burgers are fabulous you can tell they were made fresh just before they were cooked. Pizzas are excellent, a full meal size and plenty to choose from."

"Smiling waitresses, a warm welcome and good food. What more does one need after a long ride to the south. The huge Italian salad was very tasty and so was the quesadillas/hamburger menu. The hamburgermeat was definitely unique. We even could order it rare, medium or well done. We'll certainly go back to a Buffalo Grill where ever we see one."

"The waitress has the head elsewhere but it starts, little loaded galette, betting mushrooms and not from the terroir like cepes or bolets and dry cake. I'm a little disappointed."
