"Man geht halt auf dem Wanderweg zwischen Weltenburg und Kelheim oder umgekehrt dort vorbei und wenn´s heiß ist, muß man ja was trinken.Bierpreise o.k., sitzen tut man auch gut aber die ständigen Lautsprecherdurchsagen, wessen Pommes-Portion jetzt fertig ist, nerven doch gehörig und passen nicht zu einem eigentlich doch ganz gemütlichen Ort.So bekommt´s leider eher einen Fast-Food Charakter. Wenn der Ort nicht gerade so strategisch günstig gelegen wäre, daß man eigentlich dort einkehren muß, würde man daran vorbeigehen.Zur Ehrenrettung muß man sagen, daß das halt nur ein reines saisonales Schönwetter-Geschäft ist, denn im Winter wird da keiner hinwandern und so müssen sie ihren Umsatz eben schnell in den warmen Monaten machen.Der Wirt, erkennbar kein Bayer, versucht das durch Lederhose und angelerntes Bayrisch zu kompensieren - für einen echten Bayern wenig überzeugend aber für die Nordlichter reicht´s."

"Wir waren schon oft zu Gast hier und haben bis dato immer gut gegessen. Unsere Entscheidung am Sonntag Mittag hier zu speisen war leider falsch. Die Küche war sichtlich mit dem Gästeansturm überfordert. Das sogenannte Salatbuffet war meisten leer. Die Salate, na ja, bis auf den Kartoffelsalat keine kulinarischen Highlights. Meine Entenbrust kam in einer nicht definierbaren Sauce mit einem Kartoffelknödel daher. Das Fleisch zwar weich, aber durchgebraten und die Haut eher lapprig. Warum nicht eine kleine aber feine Sonntagskarte?? würde vollauf genügen. fast eine Stunde Wartezeit ist einfach zu lange. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, aber definitiv nicht am Sonntag Mittag."
