"Went here last night as didnt book a table elsewhere. Good food, not the hottest but very tasty none the less. Small portions but remember it is 3 course and it is 10 euros (you cant get a main in town for that price, trust me, we tried) Good quick service and nice surroundings. 1 euro short of 50 fed 4 from the adult menu with 2 sodas, 2 beers and a coffee - dont go in there expecting lavish bursting plates of michellein star and you will be suprised and satisfied"

"Difficult to get a place for lunch if you have not reserved for the first service at 12.30 (easier for 1.45 PM). Plats du jours are very nice this time I loved soupe crème aux chataignes, Saint Jacques et chanterelles. For kids there is always sth...in the menu anyway they are busy on the beach..."

"Horrible. To banish. 2 hours waiting before being served while there were only 2 tables to be served throughout the restaurant. The two waitresses crept in front of the customers. One of them is completely asocial, sour, stressed and nervous. The meal is fade and without any flavor for Indian cuisine we are far from account. To conclude by calling Philippe Etchebest is a real nightmare in the kitchen. Never seen that in my life."

"Returning a year after our last trip we were pleased that this restaurant was as good as ever. We took a chance going for Sunday lunch without a booking but they welcomed us just the same.We cant fault any of the food on the menu that we have tried, my wife's lamb and my escalope de veau were excellent. We will be going again on our next visit."

"This is the most beautiful hotel in La Baule and area ; just 20 yards from one of the largest sandbeaches in Europe (the largest ? however the hotel is getting old and you can feel it ; one day it would need some extensive...refurbishment ; no aircon but who cares except 2 weeks a year and our room was well ventilated by several windows ; the breakfast was perfect"
