"Absolutely disgusting condition in the woman's bathroom on July 16, 2017 at the Ladysmith McDonald's. As I entered the main bathroom door, two female employees were exiting together and smiling. Upon me opening one of the stalls I saw the toilet bowl filled almost to the brim with feces. It was absolutely awful. I used the other stall and in the time I was in there no one came to put a note on the door saying "Out of Order" or anything. Our receipt for our food put us in the Restaurant and going through the Till at 10:22 a.m. Food was fine, bathroom conditions deplorable."

"Great location in Ladysmith, nice decor, excellent customer service and usually pretty good food. The last time we went our dishes weren't as great as they usually were. Chicken seemed a little chewy? Not terrible but not the usual expected taste/texture. Overall, we usually have a great experience."

"My first time at Plantitude! I bought a couple of menu items to take away, plus two treats (mocha cupcake and oat-fudge bar , but first sat on the pleasant, shaded patio and enjoyed a mocktail, white bean soup and mac-n-cheese served with salad. Delicious mac-n-cheese! Scrumptious artichoke cakes with corn salsa! There is a comprehensive alcoholic drinks menu. The patio currently has a few igloo pods for segregated dining (April 2021 . They are also selling a few products, including vegan fish sauce, vegan Caesar mix and the really good hot-sauce they use in the restaurant. (Currently being sold next door at White Space Living. Wish I lived closer to Plantitude. Updated from previous review on 2021-04-24"

"English style pub is a cut or two above the rest, thanks to good food and a helpful staff. THE ROSES: If you 're an Anglophile, Fox and Hounds is a great pub to visit. Wonderful olde English atmosphere. Very good selection of beers on tap. Staff is very helpful in setting up patrons with dishes that allow for dietary restrictions (like gluten intolerance . What I particularly liked is that they were able to make fish and chips for me that was panko breaded rather than battered. I know battered fish and chips is the 'English ' way, but few restaurants this side of the Atlantic get battered fish right. All too often it 's too much batter, or the fish is really greasy. I didn 't feel like taking a chance, so the kitchen breaded my fish and it was really nicely done. The bread pudding is also a standout. THE THORNS: None worth mentioning. THE VERDICT: Fox and Hounds is one of those rare pubs that puts as much (or more? thought into their food as they do their beer. It 's a wonderful 'little bit 'o Britain ' in the quiet backwater town of Ladysmith BC Highly recommend!"
