"We both ordered a salad à la carte and they were fresh and tasty. There were a selection of desserts advertised on various baords around the walls and were were not convinced that the ones that we had ordered were correct but they were also good.We arrived just after 12am and only 2-3 tables were occupied - soon however, the place was full and the waitress struggled to keep up the pace of the service.Overall a nice lunch"

"If what you are looking for on a Sunday night is a good quality, well cooked, well presented and cheap meal in Lucon, you can be much worse than L’Oncle Sam. Our choice was the Duck Burger (yes, you have read the right, Duck Burger! ...and the Chilli Con Carne (not too spicy and very tasty, followed by ice deserts and two espreso coffees. Including 3 drinks, the total invoice was only €48. This is not the largest restaurant, which looks like an add-on to a bar, so if you want to eat when the French eat (about 8 9 in the evening it can pay you to reserve a table in advance. The service was friendly and helpful even after my wife had changed her order 10 minutes later! The only light Hiccup was that we cooked well after the Duck Burger (bee cuit and it came very easy underneath. This is a common appearance in France, where well boiled pink in the middle, medium all pink/red beside the surface and rarely still be on the movement. However, that was not enough to reject it, although I suspect that if I had asked for it, it would not have been a problem. Despite an earlier review that describes the entry as “Dingy”, we found it more to be on the cozy side with comfortable seating in the bar area and well-designed decoration in the restaurant. All in all, well earned a 5-star rating in his class."

"Good menu choice, quality food and selection and the size of the meals plentiful. Sadly, the 2 young people/servers were not attentive or accurate. My French is more than the bill please but several meals came wrong or at the wrong time. Didn 't come over either after to see if we needed/wanted more drinks. Not too bad with prices either do a real shame."
