"This is an excellent little curry house. We've been eating here atleast a few times a month for a number of years.Service has always been friendly, although when the restaurant is at full capacity the service can be very slow.The waiters seem genuinely pleased to take special orders and adapt meals to individual requirements, it seems that these requests are recognised and catered to by the chef.Food is consistantly excellent, we have never experienced any problems with any of our meals. The price is fantastic at around per head for a starter and main course.Soft drinks are also very well priced.For us an added bonus is being able to bring our own alchohol into the restaurant."

"What a great little find this was. I was in Ripon for work and came across this little restaurant so went in for lunch. I got speaking to the owner and he was very friendly and knowledgeable letting me know about the menu. I went for the flame grilled gambas and chorizo. Wow the flavours and taste were amazing. The prawns were massive, charcoaled on the grill and tasted beautiful. The chorizo, wow was a taste sensation and the sauce was to die for. I was there on a lunchtime and will definitely be back on an evening to taste the cocktails they do as they looked awesome. I also liked the fact it was an open plan kitchen so you could see everything going on and the ambience of the place with the music. I don’t do many reviews, but if you’re in Ripon go and check this place out"

"We popped in after a blustery walk along the moors, We could not have chosen a warmer friendlier place and the food was very tasty. We will definetly return on our next Yorkshire walk. thank you Valentino's for the car help too, we got home in the end!"

"Sun Parlour Cafe offers ice cream small plates at realistic prices. Suitable place to take a gaggle of restless kids. A toy corner. With seating tailored for short legs. Just beyond its small terrace are activities for adults and children alike. Crazy golf. Find the hidden Green Men plaques in the trees. The only part off limits to children is the bowling green. There is a band -stand which is generally unused. But makes a good vantage point and climbing frame for children. The are well established fir trees to lounge under in summer like steady comforting grandpas. The lawns and herbaceous borders are eye catching and well tended. For the history buffs there ate a couple of monuments in dedication to the fallen of various wars."
