"Recently stayed at this establishment by way of a coach holiday. The reception areas ie dining room,ballroom, lounge bar area are beautifully appointed. However the rooms are small and very dated but most of them have a lovely sea view. The rooms are clean and maid service very good. There is only one small lift that can accommodate 4 people at a time so can be very slow at busy times. The food quality,portions and selection leaves something to be desired to be honest its pretty poor. Some of the staff need to be re-trained in customer service as they don't have a clue. Quick note on Sandown its self it's a sad rundown place full of derelict vandalised buildings empty closed shops a place in full decline Rooms: Old tired and dated Safety: Full of street vagrants Walkability: Very hilly Food drinks: Drinks are OK reasonably priced. Food is rubbish Rooms: 2 Service: 3 Location: 1 Hotel highlights: Great view"
