"This places oozes old school restaurant culture from the region. Having been to Iran I swear this is very similar to places I ate at when traveling through Iran on a motorcycle. They deserve to be tried. The foods pretty good, with extreme attention to detail. You can sit looking over the pool. The prices are so good we should be paying more."

"I loved the setting of this place, had a great atmosphere and beautiful view but I have to say I was very disappointed with the food. It was such a let down after seeing some amazing photos online of their food, only to find that the dishes we wanted were no longer on the menu. As a group we ordered a few thing to share which were all very average considering how expensive it was."

"The.best.long mac.ever. Food service and staff were wondeful and whilst it was a hard decision to choose what to have from the menu..when it came out it really wouldn't have mattered as im sure anything I ordered would have been brilliant..so fresh and original..cant wait to go again."

"This appears to be the only survivor of the Fig group of cafes (the Naked Fig and the Pickled Fig seem to have closed), and it is in a great location on Scarborough Esplanade not far from the powder white sand and blue ocean. The menu is not overly inventive – it has many of the brekkie favourites – eggs, croissants, pancakes etc. but I liked that the menu offered several vegan and gluten free options. I can’t cope with much dairy – it’s good to have non-dairy alternatives, and this is where a vegan friendly menu helps me."

"Well, the location is lovely (hard to park even in winter). The food unfortunately, was atrocious. The "lemon aioli" tasted like detergent, the fish (fish and chips) slimy and undercooked, the beef burger was a strange pink/grey colour with a peculiar tasting mustard. The pizza was small but tasty. Might be a better drinks venue than a dining venue."
