"Language problems were no doubt the cause of me not getting the course Euro Menu du Jour which I ordered. They only brought one of my courses and charged me Euros on an a la carte basis.. It was too late in...the day to claim the other two courses and pay an additional euros, The worst part was that the Entrecote they served me was full of gristle, tough and tasteless! I left half the so called steak and walked back to my car shaking my head, What a flop of a lunch."

"We went to the good reviews and were a little disappointed. You need to book in the market night (weds otherwise you will not get a table. They're sitting at 7:00 and 9:00. Our waitress was very preoccupied and not particularly friendly. She didn't tell us on the menu and gave us the feeling of being hastened and an inconvenience when they get their attention for more drinks. The menu is in Spanish and French, so we needed a little help to understand some of the dishes we could not translate, but that was not before. Our waitress just seemed a little irritated with us! Our dishes came apart in Dribs and Drabs (10-15 minutes, and one of our dishes did not arrive at all. I'm sure on a quieter night you would have their full attention and a much better experience, so based on eating alone should Try it (but avoid market night! ."

"We booked this restaurant several days in advance because of its location and general good reviews. We were slightly disappointed to have been allocated a table with benches rather than chairs well out in the square but not a big deal, at first. Maitre d' was a blond girl who wasn't very welcoming, clearly full of her own importance and who spent most of the night doing very little except for saying how busy they were and studying her clipboard. However the waiter made up for her, was very helpful and patiently explained the dishes in French and English for us. Food was a little slow arriving but it was worth waiting for, all eight of us were happy with our food. We tried twice to order more drinks to have with our food but were told how busy they were by the maitre d', who then went back to looking at her clip board and doing nothing. Eventually the waiter came back and efficiently took a drinks order and they came quickly.All was fine until toward the end of our meal the starlings (birds) started to mass in the square, roost in the trees above and "deposit" on the table, plates and us. We went to the maitre d' and asked for the bill, no bill arrived so we asked again after about 5 minutes as we were being deposited upon by the birds only to be told by the maitre d' that they were busy. At this point I lost it and went to the till and demanded to pay. The waiter brought in the chef/owner who was very apologetic and offered to take off some of the bill. I said that this wasn't necessary but he insisted and gave me a presentation pack of biscuits as well.Overall I would still recommend this restaurant because of the food quality, waiter and approach of the chef/owner - just make sure that you get a table with an umbrella above it if you are going to eat here at dusk. My only real complaint is being allocated a bench table out in the square with no cover, when we booked this restaurant well in advance and clearly they knew that there was going to be an issue with the birds (there is a siren bird scarer which goes off periodically but the only effect that this seems to have is to make them take flight for a short period and frighten them into making more "deposits" on the square below!). Maitre d' needs a good talking to about what her job is but the restaurant could function very well without her as the waiters and waitresses actually seemed quite efficient, perhaps they just needed one or two more on such a busy night.Good restaurant, don't let my little rant put you off - great waiter and chef/owner saved the day and food was great for the money."
