"Up here on holidays, came one day for a take away iced coffee and came back another for a eat in breakfast. Amazing iced coffees! Great friendly staff! And not too expensive either! Would recommend. And will be back next time we're up!"

"Excellent deluxe hamburger from the bistro for Saturday lunch, and great drink prices at the bar. I've been here every time I come to town and always go back without hesitation. I do miss the old buffet, but that's been closed for years now."

"Service. wrongly lied to us when we called to book. they have booked out, but they think outside for walks, but they do not take bookings for the tables outside. they suggested we come for 6. knew they that. it was quite empty and many tables...then they said they were fully booked inside and OUT....but they said outside can not book. lying is what I say... if they say to you, you can't just turn up. find somewhere else. If they want to drink or eat, they just go somewhere else. it doesn't even have a look...but they want to look at the bottich!"

"Some huge festival along the shores was in full swing when we arrived, making parking a big pain in the as*. Of course, i was unaware of the festival, what with music blaring, throngs of crowd and cute little monsters running around n their folks hoping those monsters dont make their way back to them. <br/ <br/ More Q's ensued when we fought our way to big tuna, this being the weekend AND winter school holidays. Grrrrr.. and then a 25 min wait for our (huge) fish pack, calamari, whiting, chips etc. Got myself a couple of beers to wait (available in the drinks cooler). <br/ <br/ Oh my.. the battered fish was one of the best i have tasted. Light coat of batter, just the right crunch (no double frying), no excessive oil, juicy fish fillet ensconced within n the thin batter held almost to the end. I'd stay away from the prawns as they were not fresh at all, probably a result of being less popular than the fish."

"Ring in the Labour day long weekend. We take ourselves to up to the central coast and as you would have it, we were starving by the time we got there. Heard and read about this establishment and thought of giving it a try. <br/>The restaurant is across the road from a lake, popular fishing spot amongst the locals and not so locals. However, I must say one thing, the view the restaurant is very deceptive. It's not as amazing the photograph suggests but still nice. Not a huge minus but an ever so slight one.<br/>I have heard this place is one place on the coast to try and we weren't disappointed!<br/>This place had an inviting interior. Nothing majorly outstanding but streamline and pleasant. What counts the most is the food they serve, and it's reasonably priced. <br/>We ordered the wagyu beef burger with kumara fries, beer battered fish and chips and crispy pork belly. The most outstabding dish was the wagyu beef that was extremely flavoursome and tender. The fish and chips were fresh but the pork belly relied too much on the sauce and the meat lacked flavour. <br/>The price for what the central coast considers upmarket is really reasonable. For three people, it came to $65. That's so good for good food and fast service. You could also go for their banquet, 3 courses for $38. If I was in the neighbourhood, I would come back here and try some of their other stuff. It was such a fantastic experience. I can see why people are raving about this place."
