"The plates looked beautiful and some were enjoyable but the wine pairings were not very good, one smelled like dirty socks (cider), another tasted like it was corked and whatever was paired with the sorbet was equally awful, a champagne or vodka would have been much better and water inbetween courses would have been great. A $200 meal at the most but not $344."

"Very good food. Fresh, quality, premium. A huge recommendation with an asterisks. Despite obviously serving a table of native Anglophones, there was little to no attempt at speaking English. Tourist with no French be warned."

"We go to Yann every week to buy rare delicacies, European groceries. His home-made quiches are insane! They cook a lot in-house and all tastes great. A lot of stuff from Val-David market farmers market sells at Yann. Best place for a foodie to stock up on delicacies!"

"I think too often Laurentian restaurants are providing good food, but it 's more often than not 'same old, same old. ' NOT HERE! At L 'Epicurieux their tapas like portions are each unique, full of creative flavors. Many of their ingredients are locally sourced. We had visitors...from England and the 4 of us chose the Wednesday nite tasters ' menu- and just loved being surprised, plate after plate-from the first course to their delicious, not to be missed desserts. [Bread does not come with the meal- but is a must- the quality was wonderful, and it soaks up all those great sauces. The service was very pleasant throughout. Clearly this is a team that is working hard to create an excellent experience. We will be back."

"Apparently they don't make fresh pasta because they now have three restaurants and it's just too much work. And they only had a beer on tap (a special beer from Montreal- St Ambroise red, that's not bad, but everything else than special), no sparkling water... either. The seating was incredibly unpleasant and the mosquitoes rapacious. Our food came after a very long wait. We order basic stuff because the menu was quite inspiring and expensive - a poutin, a beef and a veggie burger and some pasta. The poutine sauce tasted as if they had poured rancid red wine into a bag of St Hubert pepper sauce. The Veggie-Burger was completely boiled and the beef burger was completely boiled. The Pattys were a strange combination of stale and wet, not good at all. The fires were oversalted everywhere, I still have dry maul (to go with the dry heaves in the memory of the poutine sauce). The pasta was simple, but at least edible. Avoid this place like the plague. It only exists to serve the tourist trade and the tasty regret. Never again!"
