"It was such an amazing place to eat at and I always loved the steak n chips n salad but I recently went back to the place n I had the same meal I always did get the steak n it was pounded out n flat n the cooks were saying or joking around saying idk what I am doing... I think now the beautiful thick steak yummy as it was now is just flat n pounded but the customer service is very good but the food is now ok but don't really wanna pay $25 for a small pounded steak.. n very olily garden salad"

"It's a perfect place to have a beer in Welli. I had a couple of Daydreams and loved them. All the staff is great, but I can't believe how amazing the blonde manager from the UK was. Estoy encantado! Perfect service and perfect beer, I recommend this place 100%."

"Came here on a day trip to welly. It was a quiet day. Was quickly seated and was given menus but took quite a while for them to get back to us to take our orders. Ordered a light meal of a pizza and chicken bites. Both dishes were good and flavorful. The shakes we ordered was also very satisfying. Will be back next time :"

"Super disappointed with my visit today. The service was really poor and there were heaps of staff, so can’t really blame covid. I ordered the Avocado on toast for $20, and was served a soggy piece of bread with two slices of tomato and a bit of avocado on top. The menu said it came with duqqa and “crumbled feta”. The amount of feta I received was no more than half a tea spoon, with the total amount shown on my fork in the photo. I told the waiter that I was a little disappointed as this was $20 and probably cost them less than 5 to make. He just rolled his eyes at me and walked away. Really sad about this visit as I used to think the Spruce Goose was pretty good! If I could leave a zero star review, I would."

"Meals were good and service was really good. We've been here a few times and never had a problem with the food or service. Boys had the stone grills and I had the flamed grill steak meal which was cooked to my liking. Mushroom sauce was really nice."
