"Wow! This is the third time we've eaten here (en route to Southampton for a cruise) and the food, drinks, and service are second to none! We ordered the chicken burger and Philly steak sandwich, then shared half each, and it was utterly delicious! Whenever we stay in Newbury we'll be back. We couldn't bear to try anywhere else in case it disappoints! Thanks again Cross Keys!"

"We went here as a family gathering for lunch and to have some food. We were quite blown away by the selection of food, so many good options. I had a lovely bowl of mussels, which were really good. Not many places do mussels, especially pubs, so I had to seize this opportunity. My group had their starters too, which they enjoyed like paté and camembert. For mains, I had a massive burger, which I enjoyed so much that I forgot to take a picture. For dessert, I had a delectable sticky toffee pudding that again I again forgot to take a pic of. I just want to shout out to the lovely lady server we had that went out of our way for our child and got a special strawberry on top of their ice cream, which my child loved. The service was great. We loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back."

"I came here yesterday for a drink and something to eat when our coach stopped here on the way to our hotel. It was nice and convenient, and I could see our coach from my table outside. Easy and convenient to order via the app. Drink and food came out reasonably quickly. It was a lovely sunny day, so I chose a table outside. The only problem was, I got pestered by wasps. Flowers were hung up nearby, which probably didn’t help the situation as it attracts them. Decent choice of food though. I only had a dessert as I only wanted something small. Easy to order using the app. Very good location."

"Very poor service. food was over cooked, we had salad on a hot plate, so we had cooked salad, it over an 3/4hour for starters and hour to get the main course which rubbish. Staff we friendly. If we had been told there was a wedding going we would have gone somewhere else."
