"We arrived in Zurich on a hot, sunny June evening. What greeted us at Camino was a pretty garden oasis with lovely tables, linen, lighting and greenery. A real surprise for the centre of the city. The service was good. Attentive but not obtrusive. The menu offered a lovely selection of dishes a la carte as well as a four or five course tasting menu. Most reviews I read about Zurich before we visited warned of the very expensive places to eat. However, unfortunately used to London prices we found the costs similar. Stand out for me was the monkfish carpaccio starter. It was really subtle and tasty. My partner had the bison rib eye which was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of pink with a lovely charred exterior. The wine list was fairly extensive but very pricy so we opted for the house choice which was served in different quantities 33cl, 50cl, 75cl which was nice. Our sauvignon blanc was crisp and cold, perfect for the evening in the sunshine. The seasonal rhubarb dessert was superb and fruity. We would definitely go back here for a gourmet treat even if a little on the high price."

"Aura has been our go-to place when we've wanted to celebrate something, both as a couple and as a family. We have in particular enjoyed the quality of the food as well as the attentive service. We have probable been to Aura about 20-30 times over the years. Unfortunately during the last 6 months we have noticed a significant decline, both in the quality of the food as well as in the service. The drop was yesterday when we had to wait close to an hour for our food and when it arrived the steaks were too cooked. I sent one of them back (the others were too hungry to wait) and we were told that it would take another hour for us to get a new steak. We ordered medium/rare and they were way too over-cooked. When you pay $55 for a steak, you want it to be good. The service was patchy. We were not offered anything else to drink after the first drink was done, we had to ask for bread and more water. From time to time we felt forgotten in the corner of the restaurant. We were very disappointed, and it's a bit sad since this is a place we have really loved. The restaurant took off the desserts from the bill to compensate that we were not happy. At least that. All in all, for that price, sadly, you can get better service and better food elsewhere in Zurich. We will take a break for now."

"After having been to a nearby cinema we came here for a bite without reservation and we were lucky to get a table for the four of us. The interior pleasant as usual and the service came quickly and was impeccable all evening. We all...had the Pappardelle with Chanterelles a not very big portion in a big plate, but we all agreed that it had been very well prepared. Together we drank a bottle of their house wine, labelled with the restaurants name. It was a Tempranillo, which we all enjoyed as well. The desserts on offer are written on the label of an empty jumbo wine bottle, which was put on our table quite original. With the espresso's we were brought complimentary glasses of ice-cold mastix liqueur. This reminded me of a tradition in Greece and so I told the very friendly, smiling waitress. As it happened she was from that country herself, so my wife and me had a quick chat with her in Greek."
