"It can get crowded, some things can sell out fast for the items they make a specific limited amount of daily. I try to plan ahead for manapua/fried saimin runs call when they open in the morning and place a phone order w/ a pick up time, curtailing the ol ' Sorry, that 's sold out line (usually for the Hot Dog Manapua Halfmoon) as well as the wait order actual line. Speaking of half moon, as some of you might know, they 86 'd Pepeiau from the menu awhile ago instead, making only Halfmoon (since the only real difference was the shape).There was even a moment where it seemed they also cut the Halfmoon. I 'm happy to report that (despite the possibly of them selling out fast), the Halfmoon still exists... well... sorta! Now it 's a Frankenstein Halfmoon! It 's been altered ! Roundish ends like a Pepeiau, but long like the Halfmoon. Franken-Moon! ? Think Kiwi... only not fruity or fuzzy! They 're still calling it Halfmoon, despite it not being shaped like a half of a moon anymore. Doubt they 'd want to go with my Franken-moons, Kiwi is already taken. Truthfully, I don 't mind. It taste 's the same I kinda like the new shape! See photos. Not too happy about the change in the QUART sized container though. A few weeks ago, I came in for my Fried Saimin fix my honey reminded me to open the boxes to check as I was shorted 6 Halfmoons once, never got around to remedying that problem. When I saw the noodle box, I freaked. I thought they gave me the wrong size as it looked obviously smaller than what I usually get. Walked it back in to check the stack. That 's when I saw the 2 smaller sized containers had changed.? An older lady had come out from the back was behind the counter. She saw me standing there with the puzzled look on my face with the container in my hand, asked if I had a question. I said, Is this a quart? It looks much smaller than the container I used to get! She replied, Yes, that 's the quart. I said, Oh... it looks feels smaller. She replies, Only little bit smaller. Hmmmmm... ooookaaay. ? So that was a bit disappointing. It sure seemed like less too as it didnt last for the usual number of lunches I used to get out of the round quart container. Ended up ordering the almost double in price 16 Family Size container this time to make up for the difference. ? Hmmmm... maybe... Will that disappointment keep me from coming back? Well, the fact that I just spent 50sumthin ' s here today would answer that question I guess! Plus... Hey.... They take Discover!! I sure LOVE 5% Cash Back Bonus on Restaurants quarter! This year, July thru Sept! Just spent 78 at Roast Duck Kitchen last week, and... Sigh ... No 5% Cash Back. I am so close to hitting 400 in my Bonus Bucks. Every penny helps! Hehehe... Squeak-Squeak"
