"The restaurant was very quiet for a Sunday evening, probably because of the snow. The food and service was as good as ever. I was disappointed that the bread didn't have butter on it though, it was a rather unpleasant smelling spread which was a shame."

"A sterile atmosphere, we had to find a waitress to ask if we could have a table on a quiet night. The food was poor, wholesale produced IMHO, and not very nice. I like chinese food, but not here. very poor"

"As first time visitors on the occasion of my wife's birthday we didn't know what to expect at the Lotus Lounge. We didn't realise that on Fridays and Saturdays they have an all you can eat menu and to make things easy that is what we went for. The bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc was quite passable and went nicely with the food. The menu says that for a table of two to choose 3 starters. The waitress urged us to choose a 4th which we did. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious, the prawn toast the best that I have had in England, the ribs were also very good. Unfortunately by the time that we got around to the crispy duck it was a little cool but still nice. I don't know how some of the customers can manage to go through the starters two or three times but they do. The service was attentive without being in your face and when the main courses came along they were also of good quality and taste. Pity that they were out of Lychees though as they are one of my favourites with ice cream. A very nice meal all around. My wife did say that it wasn't as posh as she'd expected? but she was well satisfied with the food and service."

The food is another level. The presentation is outstanding and the quality of the food is equally as good. Can't wait to go again."

"Never judge a book by its cover. Looks a bit run down and not very appealing, however the inside is actually quite nice and the food is excellent. Extensive menu including some unusual dishes. Take your own alcoholic drinks. Incredibly good value for money, verging on being underpriced for what you're getting. Service was a little slow, however it was at capacity and there appeared to only be two members of staff front of house. I'd definitely return and would recommend without hesitation."
