"We visited the hotel of August. The place itself is very pretty but the rest was very disappointing ..Not sure even where to start with the review. We paid For Adults and year old twins. It feels as if there is...no chef in the kitchen. Breakfast is awful no fruits apart from melon (it is summer, you can buy strawberries anywhere .. you can only order plain omelette (they ran out of cheese two day in a row so could not get an omelette with cheese), the croissants taste as if they were baked a month ago and they keep warming them, no salami or cheese as I mentioned previously, you can get porridge or yogurt and that’s about it ... lunch options also very limited , no fruits, no vegetable salad or smth pasta, toastie, fries (which does not taste nice) Dinner again both nights exactly the same menu, very limited, no salads as a starter. Poor food quality in general which is very disappointing and at the check out we were asked to pay ! per child for dinner as apparently kids dinner was not included and tasteless steak kids portion is worth Apologies but even in Ivy which is a decent chain kids portions are cheaper. We asked for a bottle of milk one morning and the milk that was brought was off so we could not give it to kids. Now to tool service or I would say non existent room service. Our room was cleaned at after I asked several times, the room itself was dirty when we arrived, I found someone’s hair in the sink. I don’t mind paying if I get good food and good service. What we experienced is an absolute disgrace and lack of client care. We ended up paying in the end For nights with lunches and priceless kids steaks added and it feels like an absolute waste of money. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone please be aware of the above when booking."

"This restaurant is a few minutes walk from the East Preston PremierInn (Littlehampton). We were staying local for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and prebooked a table for the Friday night. Very welcoming team even though we arrived much earlier than booked. Tables were very...well spaced. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We will return to this restaurant next time we're in the area."

"We ordered black bean with green peppers! There wasn't a green pepper in the whole meal! The chips were an absolute disgrace simulating dried up cardboard. Chicken balls were dry and freezer burnt. The sauce was coloured pee water! We have been loyal customers to this takeaway for years but noe enough is enough. Firstly it's gone down the pan since take over where the quality of product was second to none, cost £10.70,same meal as alway ordered. Secondly we now pay £19.70 for the same dish only its disgusting. Some serious management changes and focus on quality is seriously needed here. We will not return until these changes are being reported on this site! For goodness sake get a grip! OVERCHARGED INEDIBLE LACK LUSTRE, TASTELESS FOOD. IF YOU CAN CATERGORIZE THIS AS EDIBLE FOOD. WHAT A WASTE OF £20 OF MY HARD EARNT CASH. NO! NEVER AGAIN!"

"Went to Sylvan Oak last Sunday to celebrate the "Greek Orthodox Easter "with some Greek friends of mine. I ordered Roast Beef... Medium Rare! Probably one of the best roast beef meals I have ever eaten in my life . The meat was so tender and beautifully presented. A wonderful surprise. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. I can 't wait to go back. Andrew Emsworth"
