"Came here on recommendation the landwife in the hotel where I was as it was pouring with rain and I did not want to go to the city where I usually eat. it was really a pleasant “light feeling” place. I ordered what. I meant to be her special. it consists of 3 whole kidneys, lardons, excellent geese leber pate, kiefernüsse and a bit salat, wonderful! for the porn I had escaped with raves, swarms, papagei, red cabbage, flower cabbage and brokkoli, but no carrots or carrots (other and a large rich wine sauce. beautiful bottle wein! this place does not try to be old-fashioned, it simply never modernized! be aware that as a traditional restaurant one of its home specialties is cheval (horse meat not every cup tee. a great place to come if they want to be adventurous, but do not lose weight."

"I booked on the accoril site was indicated an opening in July 2016In fact it is a very old hotel during renovation. I had a very bad surprise to be in a room not yet renovated, despite my flatinium accor card. very dirty rooms, bathroom at the limit of the acceptable, and staff totally outdated. avoid at any cost until the work is actually completed. it will remain the windows that are not part of the work and the staff!!!"

"After a difficult day of cycling and running late to our dinner reservation (we called ahead to advise that we'd be later than our reservation) we were welcomed by our host and had a wonderful meal and an impromptu chablis lesson. Our meals were cooked...to perfection and our host was attentive and engaging throughout our visit. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Poivretsel again or recommend it's delicious menu and wine list to anyone going to Auxerre for dinner. Just fantastic!"
