"We stopped in here as their first diners of the evening, very early by French standards, but we had a couple of toddlers in tow.We were able to sit on the riverside and it was stunning, there are no cars on that side, and the barrier along the water is far safer for kids, so that was a big plus! They brought out the kids food promptly, followed by our starters. The prawn salad was a highlight; the honeyed crumble was such a unique addition - enjoyed heartily by the whole table, everyone had to try it! The dressing was delicious too, a great start to the meal.Our mains were in typical French style, simple, but yummy.I was a little underwhelmed with the pain perdu for dessert - the bread itself was lacking, and none of the three sauces it was served with managed to elevate it.However, the odd choice of the night; cheesecake crepes, were a hit.They'd smeared cheesecake on a crepe, rolled it up and called it dessert - another little quirk in the menu for sure, but another little triumph."

"By far the nicest pizzas we we've had in years, possibly ever. That is from someone who is not a big pizza fan, especially when eating out & being in France.. The house wine, a merlot was also above average. Ideal for travellers on business or otherwise as it is right across the road from an Ibis hotel. Service was efficient considering there was a party of six ahead of us & pleasant too . About €9 per pizza & €12 for the wine. As a meat eater I thought the vegetarian (we shared) was superb. We had a very early start in the morning so we went there for convenience. Our good luck. This is what a pizzeria should be, small friendly and very tasty. Not poisoned with salt & fat like some international chains that give pizza such a poor reputation."

"The service was disrespectful, they came to us treating us with arrogance because we are spanish and are young, the food was a complete mess, and finally too expensive for what we ate. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody!!!"

"It may look like aa bistro but this is truly a disguise and is a place that must be booked in advance. It is small but perfectly formed and more than capable of delivering a big surprise. I booked just 2 days ahead of arrival...in Bayonne and as I was on my own was told the tables were taken but a seat at the bar was no problem and went ahead. During my meal the restaurant must have refused at least a dozen walk in requests, it was so busy a precooked. When I arrived at my hotel and in response to their offer to help find a place for dinner, they nodded approvingly when told I already had a seat All I can say is that this is a must visit to experience great ingredients, prepared and presented lovingly You cannot be disappointed by the quality of the food and delicate use of flavours. The team work is a sight to behold Don’t be disappointed and book well in advance"
