"Very informal, very well organised, friendly and efficient staff. Our dog was made welcome. Good wine, lovely food nicely presented. We had a very tender steak tataki and a delicious lime cheesecake. Would highly recommend."

"Correct reception on the other hand the food is insipid. the fish of the day was drowned in oil and garlic that made it difficult to eat. Frozen vegetable ratatouille. Anyway, not bad."

"We had dinner Thursday night at La Cucaracha, our favourite on the Côte Basque. We were 7 and had an excellent dinner as always. We shared a few starters to give everyone an opportunity to sample each starters. The chipirones were succulent, the salads delicious, the ham very good... For main course we had the boudin (soooo yummy) rib of beef (exceptional) and also delicious hake. We drank a very pleasant wine from the Rioja. Such pleasant joyful staff delivering a perfect service under the gentle command of Philippe, the charming, warm, attentive and bon-vivant owner. We never miss returning to La Cacuracha with its loud boisterous atmosphere and delicious food and always leave delighted."

"Carte simple mais efficace. Les produits sont frais et de qualité : les escalopes de saumon sont délicieuses, la pièce de boeuf, même très cuite (selon notre souhait), très tendre. Les desserts sont aussi à la hauteur et surtout très copieux. Quant au café gourmand et bien, il est tellement gourmand qu'il est difficile d'en venir à bout !! Mention spéciale également pour le service : sourire, efficacité et professionnalisme sont au rendez - vous. Restaurant sympathique pour une agréable soirée en famille. Excellent rapport qualité / prix."

"Ate here on our last night at camping le Ruisseau and sorry not to have found earlier. Starter crevettes flambées a l'ail big succulent prawns were cooked to perfection. Main of mussels also good. Hubby and friend equally enjoyed mains of sole and...lamb a local specialty. Finished off with a crême brûlée and strong coffee. You couldn't ask for better and all very reasonably priced. Eat outside under canapé."
