"I have tried this place several time. I keep returning because of the serenity. Service is just not improving here at all. I’m not sure they even recognise the guest/clients. 4 of us arrived for early lunch with a pram. They only offered a table...on the full sun until l my mother in law suggested to put 2 table together in the shade. You don’t need to be Einstein to figure out that if you have several tables for 2 next to each other you can easily make a table for 4, don’t you. Now this was only the beginning. The staff were walking around empty handed and refused to bring me us a menu. Then when the did, they only brought 3 menus for 4 of us and didn’t return to take our order or to bring us water. My partner got up and brought us water. We had to hunt for a waiter to take our order. Do you think they apologised for the wait... you guessed it... NO. We ordered a toast with jam, breakfast burger and sautéed field mushrooms with poached eggs. (See foto). The idea is great, the serving size...well, I could have had some more. The execution... not so good. The mushrooms had no taste whatsoever, the fried sweet potato was pured which was a bit of a disappointment as I had as expecting a side dish. The worst was the poached eggs. They were more like hard boiled. You can see from the photo that the yolk was well done. I like my poached egg runny in the middle, otherwise I have hardboiled eggs. Overall the food was a strong 3 out of 5, but the service pushed my score down big time. On the positive note, the coffee was good"
