"It's been a long time since we hadn't eaten as well in a restaurant. The welcome is very warm and the value for money is breathtaking. We were able to taste the wonderful foie gras made home by the chef as well as the sts; fresh jacques... a pure delight. As for our friends, they had taken pizza and did not regret their choice. "Le Salon de The' in Dax is one of those rare and off the beaten track, special places. If you are visiting the south west of France, you have got to taste the duck breast and the foie gras. Le Salon de The' serves a lunch specialty that is superb and very inexpensive. The specialty consists of 1 inch square, rare to medium cooked, chunks of duck breast, sandwiched between two crisp pancakes of sorts, served in a plate bowl, and surrounded by chunks of potatoes and onions, with the whole plate laden with a light gravy (jus). It's delicious, special, rare, a genuine find, and inexpensive at 9 Euros. What a find! Worth a visit!"
