"Nice seeing. Lovely open fire. Choice of quiche or terrine and salad to start. No real finesse to either but OK. Choice of cod and rice or faux filet and chips. The faux filet was OK, the chips were not great and the strange little pot of sauce was. Well, strange. Dessert was tarte tatin. Again OK. Nothing about the service, the setting or the food was wrong but it was devastatingly ordinary and not worth a visit. All of it could have been so much better. Disappointed. Maybe the evening meal is better?"

"We visited this restaurant on the advice of where we were staying for a long weekend. I attempted my 40 year old O level French and the waitress responded warmly. A warm evening, we chose to sit outside a lovely seating are. The food was absolutely excellent and the wine was very good too. We will definitely revisit on our next trip to this area. Booking is recommended, but you will be pleased you did wonderful."
