"Having visited Canberra once a year for the last five, I have enjoyed exploring its pub scene very much. However the Duck's Nuts was my first miss rather than a hit. Very modern, which will be fine for some, it lacks character. (I'm British. It's what I look for in a pub.) The beers were excellent with a wide range of craft drops on tap. The food was a lottery. Some of us loved the food others found the duck and chips a pile of sticky stodge. Staff were friendly and welcoming but I will not return."

"There with my fiancée for Valentine's Day. it was a little late to book and was happy to get an outside table. it was a nice place to eat outside as it was quiet and pleasant and not too hot. the service was a little slow when I think they were understated. Set menus for 2 courses was reasonable and the choice made easy, but eating was a little disappointing for what we thought was a "fancy' restaurant. the price was reasonable. the drink service was slow, and they probably missed some extra drinks, from is in the run of our meal."

"The fish and chips is the go on a sunny non-windy day or when the sun starts to go down in summer. Can be very noisy with young kids running round screaming (mostly having fund chasing birds)."

"We were going to AIS Stadium for a concert and wanted to have dinner beforehand. I found this restaurant and it was very good with generous portions and a good variety to suit everyone. Two girls enjoyed the Tuna, I had the pork belly and was lovely but the potato bake with it had a strange flavour and we didn't like to eat it. It offered BYO which was a bonus and then a short walk across the road to the stadium."

"Having grown up in Malaysia I'm always looking for tastes from my childhood. I had the curry Ayam selangor with a side of roti and it was delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Great all round experience."

"Had the pho, fried whole barramundi, clay pot rice with duck, and mixed vegetables. Everything was delicious and service was great - they kept topping up our water, explaining a bit about the food, and the owner/chef came out for a chat at the end.
