"On 15.06. we were here and ate the Palatinate menu. It was a good to very good menu over four courses. The appetizer and the intermediate dish have tasted great, were harmonious and super beautifully dressed. In our opinion, the main course and the dessert could not keep quite, perhaps also because the previous courses were so delicious....But, very important is also: the Competent and friendly service. I just love it if I'm not a problem as a guest who I wished extra.... And here I was just a guest! Thank you and see you soon. On 06/15 we were here and ate the Palatinate menu. It was a four-course good to very good meal. The starter and the entrée tasted great, were harmonious and beautifully presented. In our opinion, the main course and the dessert couldn't quite keep up, maybe because the previous courses were so delicious... But, it's so very important: the competent and friendly service. I just love it when as a guest I'm not a problem who I want extra... And here I was just a guest! Thank you and see you soon."

"Hidden behind old façades is a small but fine restaurant, which also offers cozy places outside. Even now in coronary times it was not a problem for us to get a table on Sunday noon for 2 persons and 2 predatory hairs. We quickly got the ordered drinks and the dogs got a clean bowl with water. As a duck came fresh self-baked bread with olive oil and salt. The bread had a crispy crust and a solid crumb which had to close on whole grain flour. The main food was Roastbeef with roast potatoes and Remoulade. The Roastbeef was a kitchen warmth from the outside 3mm through and otherwise delicate pink, the slices decomposed on the tongue. The roasted potatoes were right without that. The Remoulade was self-made and the individual components still perceptible, very tasty. As dessert there were pannacotta with fresh berry fruit and berry ice cream. Our recommendation is safe for this restaurant, with drinks for 2 people we paid just under 70€. That's more than reasonable."

"I've been here a couple of times in recent years, always with friends and always had a great experience here. Last night I also tried the food their local speciality, Niederrheinischer Sauerbraten, is really good. The owner is quite a character, and it shows in...the queer design very oldschool, a couple of mannequindools standing or sitting around add a bit of a psycoflavour to the place and the lovingly created beer card, which contains a lot of explanations about each different brew, using cliparts and bits of information here and there, including a guide to the world of beer terminology. So, the beer... they have ! beers from tap, stored in three different coolingrooms underground each beer is stored at the right temperature. They have also an array of bottled beers, and the choice is wide and international. Every beer is served in the fitting glasskeg, with fitting coasters, and if you order a Pils, it will be cooled minutes in a special cooling chamber before being served. They also run monthly food and beer specials, in October it is of course Bavarian Oktoberfest. In short, the Dachsbau is the place to go if you want a real beer experience"

"The food here is just delicious! The ambience is also very nice and cozy. Especially after eating, I can recommend tasting the tea, which is served in large cups and tastes very tasty and different (other herbs and flowers than those used in Germany). If I could give more stars."
