"We should have checked the reviews properly before going here. I believe most of the good reviews came from Germans and they apparently do not have great taste! Everything had to be ordered at once which is annoying. The food was diabolical to say the least. We got the mixed starter and finished off with the pasta with prawns and a mango prawn salad. The mixed starter was a mix of everything weird from Indian food to Portuguese to British. The pasta was mixed with a curry paste and made absolutely no sense to any taste buds "

"A friend recommended this restaurant. It took a little time to find it. Having seen a few tables on the street we were hesitant.....until we walked inside! What a smart little restaurant. Our lunch was SUPERB. It was worth much more than the €9.50 All inclusive. We chose the starter of the day duck pate with orange and honey marmalade and fresh salad. The fish dish of the day was poached salmon with veg and roast potatoes. Beautifully presented. Meat dish of the day was marinated pork with chestnut puree. So tasty. Apple strudel was the dessert of the day. Lots of other things to choose from too. Bread, olives, a drink and a coffee to finish all included. The service was spot on; so pleasant and friendly. The young waiter even helped us out with our Portuguese. Overall an excellent meal. So pleased we were told about it. Thankyou to all. We 'll certainly be returning."

"My wife and I have just returned from a stay at HPB, Rocha Brava for a fortnight. We ate at Rustic on our second night and enjoyed it so much that we returned for a further 3 visits during our stay. I can only describe the food, particularly the main courses, as absolutely superb. The Pork in pepper sauce and Duck breast in red berry sauce were the highlights but everything we ate was extremely good. Plus excellent house wine, friendly and efficient service and weather so good that we able to eat outside on the terrace on every occasion. We will return to Rocha Brava in 2018 and we hope that Rustic is still as good then as it is now. Far, far better than other restaurants nearby such as Julio's, Rocha Mar and Jardim O Farol that have all been reviewed favourably byTrip Advisor"
