"This restaurant was recommended by the hotel I was staying at (Balladins, Le Cannet) and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise on my last night in Cannes. The person behind the bar was friendly and made me feel most welcomed even though I do not speak French. I had actually ordered a salad and pizza and after asking me how hungry I was, she suggested I go with just one or the other. She was right! I decided on the Pizza Napolitaine and was not disappointed when it arrived as it was a good size and delicious to the last bite. The interior was quite charming with a bar and small seating area in front and additional dining area in the rear. I sat upfront at a table by the bar and enjoyed my time as well as the French lesson (je vous en prie...your welcome) I received from the lovely lady who took my order. If you happen to be staying in this part of town I would not hesitate to recommend you seek out Le Gold for a nice evening out in a relaxed atmosphere."

"They can't stay happy here. this little restaurant made a great impression thanks to the lady who led it. it serves and cooks simple, homemade regional dishes. the small menu changes daily and is varied. in the night were nieren, ente and hühner included. all were served with decorated kartoffels and a delicious cauliflower cheese rub. the menus are very reasonable and available in the evening. three courses will be back just under 26 euro. this is far from their standard tourist trap. the tomato and mozzarella starter stood for the quality of fresh ingredients. this restaurant is from the main square, but the friendly ambiente makes more than for the lack of visibility. it is only a few minutes walk from the musée bonnard. the restaurant inside is small and cozy with some additional tables outside. they are just off the main road, so when they sit outside, there are some traffic noises. it is not open on the weekend, but is open daily from Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner. if they are looking for an authentic neighbourhood restaurant that offers with a smile service, this will certainly suit the bill."

"Great view, great friendly service and fresh, well seasoned produce which can be rare on the southeast coast of france ! Good place for a romantic dinner, and the view is not bad either. You should try their foie gras poele for starters it 's...mental! They also have a good selection of wines, which they 'll be able to recommend depending on what you 'll be eating. In conclusion, you should definitely go for it of you 're in the area. We 'd come back."

"We ate well in this restaurant during our visit. However we regret a little the lack of staff presence to accompany us in our choices in terms of tasting the dishes or presentation of this beautiful cellar. In the end a little disappointed by this experience that remains a little expensive to compete."
