"The restaurant is close to an industrial complex. However, when you enter the building, the atmosphere is elegant and warm, given with a beautiful touch of the paintings. I appreciated the variety of the menu. The tables are well separated, although our neighbours were very loud. We ordered the recommended menu. The food was very delicious. The Tuna Steak with the black Risotto is worth mentioning. Also the duck of the cook was a cream of white tomatoes that surprised us with its fine taste. The staff was professional and polite. All in all a recommended choice when you come to the area."

"Wir gehen bereits seit mehreren Jahren zum China Garden und sind immer total begeistert. Er liegt eben im oberen Preissegment ist aber von der Karte und vom Buffet sehr reichhaltig. Somit ist der Preis gerechtfertigt. Wer in Schweinfurt gut chinesisches Essen geheg möchte sollte auf jeden Fall in zum China Garden gehen. Anmerkung zum Buffet:Mittagsbuffet und Abendbuffet gibt es nur von Dienstag bis Samstag, ausgenommen sind die Feiertage."

"Because the restaurant in our hotel was closed the receptionist recommended this place. Unfortunately it was only outdoor seating but we were lucky because it wasn’t a cold evening. It was self service for drinks and the food was brought to the table. Between of us our friends had Tagliatelle, chicken with dumplings with a garden salad and we had ½ a duck each, served with red or white cabbage and dumplings. The food was finger licking good and the portions were generous. Apart from Beijing this was the best duck we ever had. We would go back to Schweinfurt just to eat in the Naturfreundehaus again. Absolutely worth trying!"

"We had not eaten at the Grune Gans in the last few years, but tried it again this week. Little has changed in the last decade or so. The dining room is still dark green and a bit shabby looking. The menu is up-scale and rather pricey for Schweinfurt, but the food is still well above average. I had the Barbary Duck Breast. At 18.90 Euro, it is the most expensive in the region. It was tender, but ever so slightly dry. I suppose that is to be expected when the breast is separated from the rest of the duck. I was pleased with all the accompanying sides but the Kartoffelplätzchen. It too was dry and had an unpleasant taste. The others at table had desserts and were pleased with their meals. While I can recommend the restaurant, I feel it is overpriced."
