"Despite bad reviews, we decided to try for ourselves . What a mistake . On arriving , it was very noticeable how dated the place was needs some tlc We were seated by a window not anywhere near any other guest l) which...was open . I was chilly and asked to be moved . The server was NOT happy at my request . On to the food. I asked for a bowl of rice with my meagre starters . She actually raised her voice and said no no only mains I raised my hand to say calm down. My goodness . One napkin was handed out and not replaced during the courses . The dishes were very small portions and luke warm . I will not be back . Dreadful service ."

"A very nice hotel indeed. Excellent food and service is spot on, locally sourced products and great steak from Bennets the Butchers. Very well stocked bar as well. I would have given 5 stars but the portions were too large again ! I commented on this on our first visit and the same thing happened again, all we wanted was a nice Fillet Steak with a small salad and a small portion of chips and low and behold we had a mountain of salad and enough chips to feed all of Spalding, what a waste of excellent food ! I must add there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food whatsoever, and the Steak was to die for"

"This has to be one of the best if not THE best Italian restaurant in Lincolnshire. Situated in the Crescent SPALDING ..with car parking right next door.. The staff are so friendly and the food stunning! Our most recent meal was amazing …delicous! We love it…can’t wait to return"

"Seemed friendly when walking in before I launch into this let me clarify that the waiter and waitress we had were helpful and pleasant. Upon ordering the vegetarian option I ordered didn’t arrive the manager was sent out and seemed very confrontational I did tell her it’s fine I will order from the next course. One member of the party asked a question about one of the meals and the boss was extremely rude and confrontational she has zero customer service skills I was also told my child (her meal was paid for wasn’t allowed to taste my food which is ridiculous considering we paid for a full meal for her she just wanted to taste some of mummy’s food. The food wasn’t too bad the crispy chicken balls were not chicken it was this strange spongy substance which tasted nothing like chicken I’m unsure what this sponge substance was. All in all not worth the visit extremely over priced and the standard wasn’t up to scratch."

"Went in at 7.45pm....I asked for 8.15pm collect and lad said yes that's fine....arrived back then and waited till 8.30pm was then told will be ready in half hour!!!! Absolute joke and waste of time... Went Kanton virtually next door...ready in 10 minutes and was spot on. Need to sort themselves out before it closes....so disappointed and wasn't the only one left waiting in there"
