"The best hidden gem in Houston! My wife and celebrated our Anniversary with Rainbow Lodge last night! The food…top notch. The service…top notch. The atmosphere…top notch. Derek our waiter was personable, attentive, and very accommodating! As aNorth Dakota native who grew up eating venison, and Elk I have been disappointed by so many restaurants and the preparation ofwild game. That’s not the case at Rainbow Lodge! The venison and elk were cooked perfectly! My wife had the Buffalotenderloin and it was exquisite! If you’re looking for quality wild game cooked perfectly this is the place to go! We willbe back to celebrate again for sure!!!"

"Slower service than we are accustomed to for a fine dine restaurant. Maybe just bad luck with our server who seemed to be in the weeds the entire night. The noise level was a bit loud. The steak was good quality, the sides/apps/salads were good too but nothing spectacular."

"We had an early reservation at pm which was after the matinee at the Opera House. The venue was empty and we were seated right away downstairs. The server took our drink order and food order, and our food came out quickly. However, the food was not as great as all the reviews I saw. My husband had the duck, which he said was tasty but very salty, as if it were overbrined. Our dinner companion had the gnocchi, who said the sauce was tasty but the gnocchi were very heavy and chewy. I had the lobster mac and cheese which was literally a boxed mac and cheese swimming in a milk sauce with some frozen lobster pieces thrown in. Definitely, not worth The ambiance is kind of cool and our server was fine, but the food was not what I expected in the theater district"

"Lovely location and good food,if only it was hot. Service was poor. Down to the bar being unmanned most of the time and everything seeming an effort for most of the staff. Card machine didn't work,on any occasion when purchasing drinks. I was asked to check my online bank account to see if payment had gone through. Despite having to pre order,being a larger party,food came out painfully slowly. Asked for a couple of sauces, of which,only one came out. No check in with staff to see if we had everything,or if all ok. Had to approach staff to take coffee order. The list goes on. On the whole,a disappointing visit. Food drinks: Satisfactory Service: 2 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great view"

"First Class Staff that were so welcoming and friendly beautiful cosy warm area to sit and relax with a roaring fire and pre-dinner drinks whilst we were taken through the menu. The scallops were so fresh and mouth watering and the venison well seasoned and true to the meats strong authentic flavour. The wine list could do with being a little more inspiring and a broader range, but the prices are very good value. Al in all a really enjoyable meal that is excellent value for money given the quality of the food and the enthusiastic young staff made it a highly memorable experience."
