"I have been going to Maguro for 15 years. I always held it in high standard as one of the best sushi restaurants in Ladner. I ordered a couple of pieces of sushi and there were only 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. At the...15 minutes after being seated, I asked how much longer before my meal will be served. The server’s response was “ It coming” . By the 25 minute mark, I told her that I could no longer wait. The server just simply gave me a glare and was not interested in following up with the kitchen staff or trying to correct the situation. Will never go back again. I agree with other posts. This restaurant has really gone downhill. So many other good restaurants in South Delta and more competition. They need to up their game."

"Grabbed sushi for my step-daughter because its healthy and easy enough for on the go eating. I refused to order from the place in Tsawwassen and the one my husband suggested is closed on Mondays. After googling ladner in sushi I landed on this place. It was a pleasant surprise. Order was ready when I arrived and I asked if we could sit down and eat since we had time. They actually went through the effort of taking it out of the containers and plating it nicely for us. Portions and taste are very good. It is not "dirt cheap" but it is very reasonable. We ordered 2 cucumber rolls, 1 chicken teryaki roll, 1 bowl of rice, 2 drinks. It was around $15.00 ~ The food was worth the price I paid!The only downside to this establishment is that it's quite small and they have matts hanging between each table which makes it feel extra cramped. I'm not a fan of the hanging mat @ the entry either. For a fair review, my step-daughter ate it but did not like it much. She says she prefers the other place still... I can't see why...It's not the best I have ever had but if I don't plan to travel to Burnaby; this is a close second. Since it's local, I suspect I will be here again. Its very conveniently located on Ladher Trunk Road."
