"This is a happy place. Their donuts are made with all natural products - real cream filling and not to sweet. I bought a sampling of gluten free and regular to share with a friend. The filled earl grey was absolutely delightful; not too sweet, with a creamy bergamot filling. The triple chocolate donut was a wonder to the chocolate lover, and the gluten free donuts were also very good. I didn't like the salty/sweet flavors but others might."

"We were here for the Mini High Tea (21 dollar per person).This nice urban location is easy to find. Just past McDonalds, same side (for those who are familiar with Kerrisdale neighborhoud). A very cozy interior with oil paintings, colorful fresh orchids. Beautiful Royal Albert Fine Bone China. Soft sound of recorded Classical Music. Loose leaf teas from Germany. High Tea's 2-tiered offer of tiny sandwiches and desserts for two was very pleasant to our eyes. However all sandwiches were made with white bread, which in our opinion was a weak point of the presentation. 2 scones (a cheese and a cranberry) were very good. The service was outstanding. The Tea House was well visited. Four tables were taken. The table we were sitting at was a round tiny table, a bit too small for the cups, plates, 2-tier stand, tea pots and cutlery. It really was too tight even for 2 of us. Otherwise nothing else to complain. We've enjoyed the visit and are looking forward to another one."

"We visited the Federal Store in January, 2020. It is located a five minute walk from Main and Broadway. It is located in an old house that has been converted into a coffee shop. They serve coffee and sandwiches and soups. They also sell some specialty items which are interesting such as local honey and preserves. We had sandwiches and soup to takeout as there is very limited seating in this location. the sandwiches were good as well as the soup. I thought a bit pricey for what we ordered, this is why I am only giving it a four star rating. I recommend visiting this if you are in the area. It has quite a cool vibe."
