"I r was my daughter’s birthday. We got there on time, restaurant was in a great location. We got there and we were greeted and welcomed. I had bought 3 vouchers from pulds. I am a fan of pulds it has taken me to new places in nyc I never been. Everything was fine our waiter greeted us and I had mentioned that we had the pulds vouchers and she claimed she did not know what that was? That she would ask the manager. I felt some kind a way because I had called before to let them know I had a 5th person and that I did have the vouchers they said it was ok. It took time for her to come back and take our orders and the manager never came. She did take our order and everything was ok. I was not a big fan of the food. Ever all it was ok. My suggestion would be to keep the employee updated on what the restaurant is offering the public. It’s so important to make people welcome ."

"Disappointing. This is my favorite venue and it really did not meet expectations. First, the table near the bushes was buggy, and we were bitten by mosquitos. Second, the food came very slow. This was a mid-week late night dinner, and it was not at all busy. The appetizers took more than 45 mins to come out, and then the main course another 30. We only ordered very simple items, and felt like we were waiting and waiting for our food. We were served water often which was nice, but only bread one time and not offered any additional bread than once. We also waited for the check while our server was chatting in the corner. For a Jean Georges restaurant, the overall night was disappointing. The food was delicious, as it always is, but I'm not planning to return for a long while. Sorry."

"We did the 12 course tasting menu. Every one of the courses were cold, room temperature or freeze dried. There was definitely a lot of culinary skills shown and cool gadgets used. The dishes were plated beautifully and artfully. But we left disappointed there were no hot dishes. We tried cat bird seat a couple months ago and it was a similar set up with tasting menu. But we were happier at catbird with overall menu. And it still felt like we were going through the normal stages of a meal. Appetizer, salad, main dish, dessert. Each of the dishes here were again cold and extremely artful but not as satisfying in the ”story line” if you will I was harder to follow. We were also disappointed that on two of the courses the waiter asked us to keep our spoon for the next dish. Our spoons were covered in sauce from the previous dish and he wanted us to use them for the next one. This is completely unacceptable. Our total bill was almost $400 and we were having to clean off our own spoons between courses. I will say the cocktails were well-crafted and delicious. That was the most enjoyable part of the evening. I think we are done with tasting menus at the chef‘s table for a while. At least until we hear about a place that has both delicious food and exceptional interaction with the staff."
