"Tried quite a few things from the menu, standouts were the swordfish cheeks (worth the wait) and the tempura camembert !<br br/>The swordfish cheeks really stood out. I don’t usually like grilled fish such as mackerel because it’s usually over cooked and dry, thankfully the soft, fatty cheeks didn’t have such a problem. Swordfish is not traditionally as fatty as other fish like salmon, so having cheeks really gave it the required flavour without feeling like a hunk of meat.<br br/>Next best thing we’re the camembert tempura. A twist on the baked Camembert dish and honestly not too hard to prepare, however I gave it extra points for ingenuity given the paucity of cheese in much of Japanese cuisine. Tempura batter differs from western fried chicken style batter by its lightness, which still allowed the cream of the camembert to shine as it oozed from the batter. <br br/>The sushi rolls and sashimi were nothing special."

During this visit, I ordered the French toast of Pina Colada. What a breathtaking dish and the fruity flavors and textures make this a pleasure to eat! <br>

Also have the biscuits and cream stacks that look like edible works of art, and tastes even better with the combination with only baked warm biscuits and fresh cream and bananas. Grief

"The dinner menu seems to be more limited than lunch - many of the special dishes I saw on instagram are not available. Quite expensive and not worth it if you're having the sushi train only. But the sushi is tasty."

"Konakara is a small restaurant with a pleasant vibe and definitely a place to take your date for an intimate night out. The food was simple, delicious, and authentic with very fresh salmon in the salmon tataki we had. Portion sizes were on the smaller side, especially for a big eater, but generally decent in comparison to other restaurants. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back."

"I've been seeing pics of these famous waffles on my instagram for months and finally decided to try out Haven. I was lucky enough to get here by 9am on a Sunday Morning, so we got a table without a hassle. in a matter of minutes, the place was packed out and there were lines outside. Their food and drinks are served with an Asian twist and the flavours are awesome. I loved the ambience of the cafe and the egg waffles are worth rave! so soft and tasty."

Located near Central station, Haven is convenient to get to via train. We arrived during lunch time so was a bit busy and noisy, however we were eventually given a seat within 3 minutes. <br>

-Smoked salmon roll- Loved it! Loved the Brioche bun, making it soft, sweet and super easy to eat with knife & fork. All flavours complimented each other really well. Will definitely order again.<br>

-Not an eggs benedict- Very unique, definitely not any ordinary eggs benedict. However, personally preferred the smoked salmon roll more. The mayonnaise in the Not an eggs benedict was very overpowering and there was way too much placed on top. Overall, a nice dish and eggs were soft poached perfectly. <br>

This brunch cafe has its own unique qualities, such a charcoal stick in its water, a side of sultanas with your cup of coffee and decor placed around the interior and bathroom. Would highly recommend."

"This place is a little known gem. Cheap fresh large servings of sushi and sashimi with friendly service. Spent $50 for two people and couldn't finish it all. Will definitely be coming back again"
